Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Amman
- Accommodation: Hotel in Amman.
- Activities: Arrive at Amman Airport, where you'll be greeted by a representative who will assist with visa formalities. Transfer to your hotel, free time to stroll around, check town and prepare for the adventure ahead.
- Drive Time: Approx. 45 minutes from the airport to the hotel.
Day 2: Amman City Tour
- Accommodation: Hotel in Amman.
- Activities: Explore Amman's rich history and vibrant culture. Visit the Citadel, Archaeological Museum, Roman Amphitheatre, and Folklore Museum. Discover the fascinating collection at the Royal Automobile Museum and enjoy interactive exhibits at the Children’s Museum. End the day with outdoor activities at Forest Park.
- Drive Time: Minimal driving within Amman.
Day 3: Jerash, Al Ma’wa & Ajloun Castl
- Accommodation: Hotel in Amman.
- Activities: Travel to the ancient city of Jerash, known as one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Visit Al Ma’wa Wildlife Reserve, the largest sanctuary for rescued wildlife in the Middle East. Explore Ajloun Castle, a historic fortress with stunning views and a rich history linked to the Crusades.
- Drive Time: Approximately 1 hour to Jerash, 30 minutes to Al Ma'wa, and 30 minutes to Ajloun Castle.
Day 4: Mt. Nebo, Madaba & Petra
- Accommodation: Hotel in Petra.
- Activities: Visit the sacred site of Mount Nebo where Moses was buried, offering panoramic views of the Holy Land. A small Byzantine church was built there by early Christians, Saint George Church: which is located northwest of the city centre. Explore Madaba, famous for its ancient mosaics, and participate in a hands-on mosaic lesson. In the evening, enjoy an authentic Jordanian dinner with a local family in Petra, experiencing warm hospitality and delicious cuisine.
- Drive Time: Approximately 1 hour from Amman to Mt. Nebo, 30 minutes to Madaba, and 3 hours to Petra.
Day 5: Petr
- Accommodation: Hotel in Petra.
- Activities: Spend a full day exploring the Red Rose City of Petra. As you enter the Petra valley you will be overwhelmed by the natural beauty of this place and its outstanding architectural achievements. Walk through the Siq to the iconic Treasury, discover elaborate rock-cut tombs, temples, and a massive Nabataean-built, Roman-style theatre, which could seat 3,000 people. Marvel at the ancient architecture and the natural beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Drive Time: Minimal driving within Petra.
Day 6: Wadi Rum
- Accommodation: Wadi Rum Camp.
- Activities: Transfer to Wadi Rum, a stunning desert landscape known for its towering rock formations. This is a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humanity and its destructive forces. Here, it is the weather and winds that have carved the imposing, towering skyscrapers. Enjoy a 2-hour jeep ride, try sandboarding, and experience a camel ride. Explore ancient rock carvings and soak in the serene desert environment, capped off with Bedouin hospitality at a traditional camp.
- Drive Time: Approximately 2 hours from Petra to Wadi Rum.
Day 7: Aqaba
- Accommodation: Hotel in Aqaba.
- Activities: Enjoy a panoramic tour of Aqaba, Jordan’s Red Sea resort city. Experience some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world, swim with friendly sea turtles as they dart amongst the schools of multi-colored fish, and explore the vibrant marine life in the crystal-clear waters.
- Drive Time: Approximately 1 hour from Wadi Rum to Aqaba.
Day 8: Dead Sea
- Accommodation: Hotel at the Dead Sea.
- Activities: Travel to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, at 410 meters below sea level. Float effortlessly in the salty waters, enjoy the therapeutic mud, and relax by the beach, taking in the serene environment and spectacular views. The salt content of the water is 31.5% making the water so buoyant that it is impossible for the visitor to sink (take care not to touch your eyes with your hands though!)
- Drive Time: Approximately 3 hours from Aqaba to the Dead Sea.
Day 9: Kumarakom's Serene Day
- Activities: After breakfast, transfer to Amman. If the flight timing allows, enjoy some free time for souvenir shopping. The continue to the Airport for your departure, bringing your memorable Jordanian adventure to a close.
- Drive Time: Approximately 1 hour from the Dead Sea to Amman Airport.
